Job Role – Audit Senior/Client Manager
The general role will be that of managing the audit of Large Companies and heading up that team to ensure effective delivery of the audit procedures. You will also have responsibility for a portfolio of clients as their main point of contact as a part of our Client Manager team.
The role will include the following:
- Managing the audit of the statutory financial statements of Large Companies and managing the delivery of the audits. Annual planning to schedule visits and timely completion.
- Liaising with your allocated clients on a regular basis, dealing with ad-hoc client queries and the collation of the records required to meet the relevant deadlines.
- Reviewing the VAT returns prepared by the team and ad hoc preparation of VAT returns where necessary.
- “5 minute” reviews of your clients accounts jobs prior to them being reviewed by senior management.
- Preparation of accounts to draft stage for Limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. Preparation of Management accounts for clients, as and when required.
- Visiting clients at their premises.
- Assisting the other client managers with work planning.
- Helping to train the next generation of accountants within the team.
This is a busy role with direct client contact and monthly deadlines to meet. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise in a busy environment, whilst managing client expectations.
Role requirements.

Strong attention to detail
Due to the nature of the job, it is a requirement for the successful candidate to hold a full UK driving licence.
Skills: The successful candidate should be hardworking and professional. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft office, to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a fully qualified member of a chartered professional body. For clarity this includes ACCA, CA, CIMA & ICAEW and has been achieved via the examination route.
Remuneration: This role comes with an attractive package Annual salary of £36,000 to £43,000 based on experience
Company Pension contributions of 3%

Annual leave of 21 days plus bank holiday, plus 2 additional days to be taken at set times. We offer 1 day per year volunteer day for you to use volunteering at a local charity of your choice (in addition to your annual leave)

Job Role - Tax Senior
The role will comprise of:
Completion and processing of personal self assessment tax returns
Completion and processing of partnership self assessment tax returns
Completion and processing of forms P11d
A good knowledge of Corporation Tax and Capital Allowances would be advantageous
A good knowledge of Trust/Estate Tax Returns would be advantageous
A good knowledge of Inheritance Tax would be advantageous
Preparation of basic income & expenditure accounts for sole traders
Preparation of rental accounts
Checking & agreeing PAYE coding notices
Checking & agreeing taxation statements of account
Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs by telephone or correspondence as required
General day to day handling of clients’ tax affairs
In house training of our systems and procedures will be given. Please note this is a senior role, therefore experience and good mixed tax knowledge is required.

Skills:
The successful candidate should be hardworking and professional. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft office, to include Word, Excel and Outlook. Full clean Driving licence would be preferable. Qualifications:
AAT/ATT qualified or part qualified. GCSE’s 5 or more graded 6 or above to include Maths and English. A/S and A Levels grade B or above

Job Role - Bookkeeper
The general role will be that of processing clients paperwork to ensure VAT returns and year end accounts can be prepared. You will have a set list of clients to look after, but will be required to assist on other clients as and when the client managers require you to.
You will report directly to the Client Managers.
The role will include the following:
- Processing Purchase invoices
- Processing Sales invoices
- Uploading and matching bank transactions
- Bank Reconciliation
- Reviewing Trade Debtor and Trade Creditor balances
- Preparing documentation in preparation for the Client managers to review
- Ad-hoc client queries
- Client visits
- Assist with team training
This is a busy role with direct client contact and monthly deadlines to meet. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise in a busy environment, whilst managing client expectations.
Role requirements
The Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following skills:

Due to the nature of the job, it is a requirement for the successful candidate to hold a full UK driving licence.
There are no qualification requirements for this role, however, applicants with AAT or similar and or experience within bookkeeping would be a benefit.

Job Role
The general role will be that of preparing year end accounts and general bookkeeping for review by the client managers and senior managers.
The role will include the following:
Preparation of Sole trader, partnership and Limited company accounts to draft
Preparation of general bookkeeping, to include processing sales and purchase invoices, bank transactions and reconciliations etc
Preparation of VAT returns for clients up to draft stage
Attending client meetings
The potential for working with our Audit team if you would like experience in this
Dealing with Ad-hoc client queries
Helping to train the next generation of accountants within the team.
This is an integral role within the business and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise in a busy environment, whilst managing client expectations.
Role requirements
The Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following skills:

Liaising with senior management
Working in a team
Strong attention to detail
The successful candidate will be studying towards their Chartered accountancy qualification, either ACCA, CA, ICAEW.
Due to the nature of the job, it is a preference for the successful candidate to hold a full UK driving licence.
We believe this role will suit a person looking to work for a larger firm and get more in depth experience across a broader range of clients.
Remuneration
This role comes with an attractive package
Annual salary of £20,000-£32,000 depending on study and exams passed. Pay rises are linked to exam passes throughout the year.
